The protection area included Treasure Island, Yerba Buena Island, and the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. The islands, an historic naval station, has hundreds of historic structures, including single-family residences and dormitories, warehouses, offices, schools, museums, mercantile, motion picture sound stages, and industrial occupancy types.
